"Playing the Game is the Quickest Way to Lose" Message 10-27-19

Point: In pursuit of image, self-worth, or purpose, sometimes we fall victim to playing a game of “looking right” rather than living a real life before a real God. Unfortunately, there are no winners in this game. If we want to see real life change, we must be willing to live real lives IN Christ.

Scripture: Acts 4:32-5:10, John 10:10, Ps. 139, 2 Samuel 12:1-13

Questions:
1. What “games” in your opinion have you seen church people play instead of being genuine?
2. Read Acts 4:32-37, in vs 33 it says: “…great grace was upon them all”. What would change in our current culture if individually and collectively we had a better understanding of true grace?
3. Read Acts 5:3-4 What is the actual sin here, and why is it such a big deal?
4. What is the danger in us not being honest with our walks in Christ? What’s at stake?
5. What is 1 step YOU can take this week towards being honest with God regarding your sin, your walk with him, and your understanding of him?
